Pumpkin bread recipe with chopped walnuts made with Raven's Nest mulling spices surrounded by fall pumpkins

Pumpkin Bread

  • ¾ sugar 
  • ½ cup oil 
  • 1 cup pumpkin (canned)
  • 2 eggs 
  • 1 pkg. Raven's Nest Mulling Spice
  • 1 ¾ cup flour 
  • ½ tsp. Baking powder 
  • ½ cup walnuts (cut-up) 
  • 1 tsp. Rum extract (vanilla may be substituted) 
  • 1 tsp. Baking soda 
  • 1 tsp. Salt 
  • ⅓ cup water 


Cream sugar and oil. Add eggs, water, pumpkin, rum extract, and mix well. Add Raven's spice and mix. Combine in another bowl-flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix dry ingredients, mixing well after each addition. Stir in nuts. Pour into 9x5 greased and floured bread pan. (GREASE ONLY BOTTOM OF PAN).

Bake 350º 1 hr. 15 min. or until a toothpick comes out clean. Recipe can be doubled for 2 pans. Recipe can be baked in mini-loaf pans for gifts. Baking time will vary 30-40 min.
